How to launch Mocklay

Mocklay runs 100% locally and is safe. Because we do not buy enterprise certificates, confirm launch once on first run:

macOS Gatekeeper
Confirm once — all future launches open normally
macOS Gatekeeper warning prompt
01

Launch and click "Cancel"

Open the downloaded .dmg, drag Mocklay into Applications, and launch it. When the Gatekeeper prompt appears, click "Cancel" (do not click Move to Trash).

macOS System Settings Open Anyway button
02

System Settings → click "Open Anyway"

Click Apple menu () → System Settings → Privacy & Security. Scroll down to "Security" and click "Open Anyway", then enter your Mac password.

macOS Open confirmation prompt
03

Click "Open" — Permission saved!

In the confirmation prompt, click "Open". Mocklay launches immediately, and macOS remembers this permanently — all future launches open normally.

If macOS says "file is damaged and should be moved to Trash" — run in Terminal:
xattr -cr "/Applications/Mocklay"*.app

Windows Defender SmartScreen
Standard prompt for new indie software — confirmed in 2 clicks
Windows SmartScreen More info link
01

Click "More info" link

Launch the .exe installer. In the blue "Windows protected your PC" window, click the "More info" link.

Windows SmartScreen Run anyway button
02

Click "Run anyway" button

After clicking "More info", a new button labeled "Run anyway" appears in the bottom-right corner. Click it to proceed.

03

Confirm UAC and install — Done!

Click "Yes" on the User Account Control prompt. Installation finishes normally and Mocklay is ready to launch.
